ecoWise invests in new crusher of 20 tonnes per hour capacity for its crushing and composting operations.

ecoWise acquires 100% of WaterTech Pte Ltd. WaterTech provides industrial waste water solutions.

2005

ecoWise Resources Pte Ltd" is incorporated.

ecoWise acquires 60% of Eco Environmental (S) Pte Ltd and increases its capability in the recycling of used copper slag.

ecoWise commissions its 1mW cogeneration plant using biomass as its fuel. The power and steam generated will be internally used for its existing and new business ventures. The plant will bring a new revenue stream and also reduce ecoWise costs of operations.

ecoWise invests in new crusher of 120 tonnes per day capacity for its tree and horticultural waste recycling and composting operations.

2004

ecoWise wholly owned subsidiary, Bee Joo Industries Pte Ltd orders biomass fired cogeneration plant with a steam turbo-alternator.

2003

ecoWise Holdings Limited is listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange in April.

2002

Lee Thiam Seng joins the Group.

Research commenced in recycling horticultural waste into compost, organic fertiliser and briquette.

In September, another major term contract was inked with Keppel Group for disposal of used copper slag.

BJTT changed its name to Bee Joo Environmental Pte Ltd in November to reflect the Group's emphasis on providing resources management and environmental solutions.

ecoWise Solutions Pte Ltd was formed in December to carry out the business of developing and commercialising ecology friendly solutions.

2001

In line with the growth of our business, BJTT was incorporated as a private limited company for the purpose of taking over the partnership.

2000

Lee Thiam Seng was engaged as our business advisor to assist in strategic planning and business development of our Group.

Commissioned customised S$0.6 million wood crushing machine to crush wood and horticultural waste into wood chips. This machine has the capacity to crush 120 tonnes of wood and horticultural waste per day or about 37,440 tonnes per year.

1995

Signed term contracts with Singapore Technologies Marine Ltd, formerly known as Singapore Technologies Shipbuilding & Engineering Ltd for the disposal of used copper slag.

1992

The Group clinched its first term contracts for the disposal of used copper slag and general waste with Sembawang Shipyard Ltd in 1990 and 1992 respectively.

1991

We bought and moved into our present factory in Sungei Kadut.

In the same year we invested in machinery and equipment to automate part of the recycling process, thus increasing our productivity.

1988

We streamlined our operations by incorporating Bee Joo Industries Pte Ltd ("BJI") to focus on the recycling business while BJTT focused on collection of used copper slag and industrial waste.

1982

The company was renamed from Bee Joo Transport Co. to Bee Joo Trading and Transport after bringing in 3 new partners in 1981. Due to increasing demand for recycled copper slag, we expanded our capacity by purchasing new equipment in 1983 to recycle used copper slag.

1979

Sunny Ong founded the copper slag recycling business of our Group through Bee Joo Transport Co., a partnership, and also provided transportation services for the collection of used copper slag from the shipyards for recycling.
