Originating from its humble beginnings as Bee Joo Transport Co, ecoWise has accumulated more than 30 years of resource recovery experiences with products and services utilised by various industries such agricultural, construction, logistics and automobile. The Group has since then become one of the main industrial and urban waste recycler in Singapore, with services covering waste collection, disposal, processing and recycling of industrial, urban and organic waste. Leveraging on its involvement in in-house R&D as well collaboration with strategic partners and research institutions, ecoWise is able to provide customised environmental solutions to its customers.

  • Rubber Compound Manufacturing and Tyre Re-treading – Malaysia

    • Integrated rubber tyre recycling business is undertaken by wholly-owned subsidiary, Sunrich Integrated Sdn. Bhd
    • Core business arms:
      • Manufacturing of rubber compound and custom made compounds such as pre-cured tread liners, cushion gum, perforated sidewall veneer and rubber masterbatch. Products are used downstream in tyre re-treading process as well as in other applications such as industrial belting and mechanical rubber goods etc
      • Re-treading of truck & bus radial (TBR) as well as off the road (OTR) tyres using materials produced in-house such as pre-cured tread liners and cushion gum. A wide selection of re-treaded tyres and 'Sunrich' new tyres sold under the established brand names of Suntex and Autoways.
      • Providing total tyre management (TTM) services to local transport and logistic industries
    • Tight vertical integration of manufacturing processes allows optimization of its product ranges and operational efficiency from which operation cost savings can be realised
    • Continuous enhancement in production capabilities by adopting state-of-the-art German and European technologies in commissioning a highly automated rubber mixing plant

     

  • Waste Tyre Re-treading & Total Tyre Management Services – Chongqing, China

    • Chongqing eco-CTIG Rubber Technology Co., Ltd (CECRT), a joint venture (JV) company formed between ecoWise and Chongqing Municipal Transport Development and Investment (Group) Co., Ltd (CTIG) manages the tyre recycling and total tyre management (TTM) businesses in Chongqing, China
    • The TTM services provided by the JV company covers a fleet of about 2,700 city buses in Financial Year 2015 and the company is poised to expand its operation to capture the entire fleet of CTIG’s city buses (estimated 9,500 buses) within the next year
    • Completion of the advance automated tyre re-treading plant also allows CECRT to leverage on the use of re-treaded tyres, (in addition to the use of new tyres) thereby rendering operation flexibility and reducing TTM operating costs
    • R&D works undertaken by CECRT has also propelled the company into new frontiers where re-treaded Light Rail Transit (LRT) tyres have been accepted by the transport authorities.

  • Copper Slag Recycling

    • ecoWise’s 15,000m2 facility in the Sarimbun Recycling park serves the function of production ground for biomass fuel and compost fertilizers
    • The facility is capable of processing 24,000 metric tons of horticultural and wood wastes each year
    • Composting process employs a patented ecoACTTM (ecoWise Active Composting Technology) which uses the Group’s proprietary in-vessel thermophilic technology with advance automation in process control
    • Compost produced with ecoACTTM has been awarded the Singapore Green Label by the Singapore Environmental Council for “100% Natural Organic Fertilizer”
    • Facility is also equipped with sorting and crushing equipment used for the production of quality and high calorific value biomass fuel

  • Animal Feed Additives & Ingredients

    • Agro-waste and waste derived from food processing industries such as spent barley grains, soya waste and milk powder are collected from local major food-processing factories and recycled into food additives for poultry feed – distributed regionally within South East Asia
    • Integration with biomass power plant - use of electrical power and steam produced by the power plant to heat-dry and process the food waste.

  • Biomass Fuel Preparation and Composting

  • Electrical & Electronic Waste Management

    • Strategic investment with 15% ownership of Chongqing Zhongtian Electronic Waste Management Co., Ltd
    • Concession company holds the license as the sole operator to carry out the business of electrical and electronic waste collection, recovery, processing and disposal
    • Concession period to last for 12 years with effect from October 2010.
