Belgium Government and VOKA Delegates Visited ecoWise

About 30 delegates from the Chamber of Commerce of the Belgian region Antwerp-Waasland (VOKA) visited the ecoWise Biomass Power Plant at Gardens by the Bay on 13 November 2018 during their business study and network mission.

The group consisted of senior management from various businesses in Belgium, led by Belgian State Secretary Mr. De Backer, Antwerp Governor Ms. Berx, Belgian ambassador to Singapore Mr. Detaille and the President of the Chamber Mr. Jo De Backer.

The delegates were given a short presentation of the latest developments of ecoWise, followed by a tour in the plant. They learnt about the workings of the tri-generation biomass power plant and were impressed with its sustainable design and the efforts ecoWise has made on improving environmental sustainability.
