ecoWise meets with Tadweer Officials
As part of ecoWise ongoing effort to promote eco-friendly methods to waste management, ecoWise team met with Tadweer’s General Manager Engineer Saeed Al Mehairbi and Project Manager Engineer Nayel Rashed Al Shamsi on 7 April 2017 to contribute to their study on transforming horticultural and wood waste into energy.
Through this study, Tadweer officials were given an insight on how biomass can benefit the environment.
The officials were first given a brief overview on the workings of the biomass power plant and how this system can be adopted in any industry before touring around the plant to gain a better understanding. Through the detailed explanation given by ecoWise team, the officials understand that our biomass power plant does not pollute the air and the fly ash from the burnt wood waste can be used to manufacture eco-concrete. This ensures waste management is clean and there is zero wastage. The meeting ended on a positive note with ecoWise looking forward to see the fruition of this feasibility study.
Tadweer is an Abu Dhabi waste management centre where they specialise in pest control systems and manages waste management projects.
