ecoWise received token of appreciation from BCA
In recognition of our contribution to the revamp of BCA Gallery, Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority (BCA) presented a terrarium as a token of appreciation to ecoWise on 13 April 2017.
The terrarium was presented by Mr Lawrence Wong, Minister for National Development and Dr John Keung, Chief Executive Officer of BCA during the opening ceremony of BCA Gallery. BCA Gallery was first opened in 2008 to educate the public on the importance of the building and construction industry. When it went through a revamp, ecoWise contributed to the gallery by providing our insights to the use of washed copper slag and suggested some solutions to making building and construction sustainable. As washed copper slag is priced lower than sand, it is used as a sand replacement to manufacture eco-concrete. During a looming sand crisis, it is especially important to use washed copper slag so as to keep the industry ongoing. ecoWise believes in educating and promoting eco-friendly methods to the public. Through this gallery, ecoWise hopes that more people will understand the importance of sustainability.
